Company History

Started in 2015 by product designers Abigail + Eric Smallwood, Myrth designs and crafts high-quality porcelain dinnerware and vessels that are timeless, lasting editions to home and restaurant kitchens.

Myrth Ceramics can be found in Boston restaurants including Field + Vine, Dear Annie, Oleana, Tonino, The Koji Club, and father afield at Nadair (Atlanta), and coming soon to Time + Tide from Saga Hospitality NYC.

Myrth has collaborated with brands such as Food52, Island Creek Oysters, Primary Beans, as well as chefs like Top Chef alumni Karen Ackunowicz. Boston Magazine named Myrth Best in Boston and the New York Times Wirecutter also noted our ceramics in their dinnerware roundup.

Our Products

All of our products have been meticulously designed for effortless function and lasting durability. We manufacture all of our wares in our East Providence, RI studio using three methods: jiggering, slip casting, and wheel throwing.

Dinnerware

10.5” Dinner Plate, 8” Appetizer Plate, 6” Morsel Plate,

12oz Coffee Mug, 8oz Swig Cup, 4oz Sake Cup.

Oval Platters: 16x10.5”and 12"x8”, plus the 10” Feast Bowl.

8” Moon Vase, 9” Pilar Vase, and 11” Vita Vase.

Our Glazes

We craft our glazes in-house from our own custom recipes which are designed for lasting durability. Our dinnerware color palette includes 6 soothing satin-matte finishes.

Lasting Quality

  • High-fired porcelain with rounded edges resist chipping or cracking (tested in restaurants and homes).

  • Our porcelain is engineered to have excellent heat retention so dishes stay warm from kitchen to the table.

  • All Myrth porcelain wares are dishwasher + microwave safe.

Thoughtful Design

  • Designed to provide great functionality across a wide range of foods or meals.

  • The minimal design of our wares amplifies the care and craft a meal is created with.

  • We have custom designed our porcelain clay and glaze recipes for enhanced durability so that our wares stand up to regular use and dishwashing in your kitchen.

  • Our bowls are designed for versatility with rounded inside corners for scooping liquid foods, as well as flat bottoms for cutting more solid foods.

Made-to-order

All bulk orders are made to order. Our standard lead time is 8 weeks. Larger orders may require additional manufacturing time.
